Nutrition.gov is a new, national resource that makes access to all on-line Federal government information on nutrition and health available in one place. The web site offers accurate, scientific information on dietary guidance, nutritional supplements, physical activity, health management, and food safety. Includes specialized nutrition information for infants, children, teens, adults, seniors, and minorities.
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
The overall mission of the USDA is to enhance the quality of life for the American people by supporting production of agriculture. The Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services office runs the Federal food assistance programs and coordinates nutrition research and policy. The web site provides information about nutrition assistance programs, the Food Guide Pyramid and Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and recipes and tips for healthy and thrifty eating.

WIN is a national information service of the National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health. WIN provides health professionals and consumers with science-based information on obesity, weight control, and nutrition. The web site provides access to health information, research funding opportunities, clinical research studies, scientific databases and resources, NIDDK research and projects, and special reports, testimony, and strategic plans.
The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness
The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness seeks to establish easily accessible programs across the Nation that give children and young adults the opportunity to learn about eating disorders and the positive effects of a healthy body image. The web site provides information for teens and parents about signs and symptoms, gender differences, and treatment related to eating disorders.
