    Go With a Winner!

Recognized as one of the best in the nation, the CMHS publication, Managed Mental Health Care, What to Look for, What to Ask, was selected as a winner in the fourth annual National Health Information Awards. This program recognized the nation's best in consumer health information programs and materials.

The 17-page booklet provides mental health consumers/survivors with basic, easy-to-read information on managed care and what questions they should ask to ensure access and quality of their mental health care. Since its publication last year, it has been one of CMHS' most requested publications. To date, over 20,000 copies have been distributed.

Managed Mental Health Care is unique in that it was developed with input from a large number of mental health consumers/survivors. This reader-friendly booklet tackles such issues as the role of primary care physicians, membership services, rights protections, and grievance procedures.

This publication is now inactive. (10/02)
